At MaleStandard, Down Syndrome is a disability that we hold very close to our hearts. This year, as in the past, the MaleStandard team will be walking in and supporting the Down Syndrome “Buddy Walk” of Orange County on November 7, 2010, not only in support of a boy we dearly love, Blake, but also, in support of all those affected by Down Syndrome.
We asked our friends, Trina and Ryan Sessler, to write an article about what it is like to raise a child with Down Syndrome, and they graciously have done so. We hope that they provide you with as much inspiration as they do us. Blake is an extraordinary boy who exceeds our expectations every day. It is time that we as a society strive to exceed Blake’s, and all those affected by Down Syndrome expectations too.
