NBA Sponsor Autotrader Launches Spoof PSA During All-Star Weekend

Written by Male Standard on February 23, 2017

The newest ad campaign from Autotrader is a tongue-in-check public service announcement scheduled to break on national broadcast TV during NBA All-Star Weekend 2017 on TNT. The new 60-minute spot, created by Los Angeles ad agency Zambezi, asks the public to save a car, using the “Save Car” feature on their website.

The tool allows shoppers to save car listings and receive Deal Alert(s) from the brand – price drops, 0% APR offers, $1,000 cash back and more, even when they’re not actively searching online. The spoof ad will feature a working hotline – (844) SAV-A-CAR – featuring a number of hilarious “Save Car” consumer testimonials.

“Save Car PSA” launches on the heels of the brand’s “Goodnight Save” TV spot and leads an all-out Autotrader media blitz of video executions for TV/social/VOD/pre-roll, as well as digital banners, radio and email, that will roll-out throughout the year.
