Jason Kelce Doesn’t Wear Underwear. Should You?

On his “New Heights” podcast, former NFL star Jason Kelce revealed that he doesn’t wear underwear…ever. The reason, he says, is simple: “I find it unnecessary and problematic to the freedom my boys like to enjoy.”

Jason isn’t the only one who prefers going commando. He’s been spotted wearing birddogs, a men’s apparel company based in New York City. The brand is known for selling shorts with a built-in liner that eliminate the need for underwear — allowing guys like Jason to freeball all they want.

So, should you stop wearing underwear? Well, it depends.

If you’re wearing birddogs like Jason, go for it. There are a ton of brands that offer built–in liners, like Fair Harbor and lululemon, but the liner is only available in gym shorts or swim trunks.

In birddogs, you can go commando all the time because their khaki shorts, joggers, AND even khaki pants come with the built-in liner. The liner is sweat-wicking, anti-chafing, and according to the brand, super supportive.

But if you’re planning on going commando without any liners, we’d recommend keeping your underwear on. Rough fabric like denim will cause irritation, thinner fabrics won’t leave much to the imagination, and your boys will flop around a little too freely.

For now, it doesn’t seem like Jason plans to start wearing underwear OR stop wearing birddogs anytime soon. Good for you, Jason. Good for you.
