These recipes are sure to spice up any barbecue during the hot summer months!

Basil Hayden’s® Stars & Stripes Spiced Ice

2 Parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon

1 Part Simple Syrup

1/2 Lemon, Juiced

1 inch of Vanilla Bean

5 Basil Leaves

1 Basil Sprig


1. Combine Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon, simply syrup, lemon juice, vanilla bean and basil in a blender

2. Add ice and pulse until ice is pea-sized

3. Pour into a rocks glass

4. Garnish with a sprig of basil

1 ¼ Parts Knob Creek® Rye Whiskey
½ Part Fresh Lime Juice
½ Part Orange Liqueur
¼ Part White Creme De Cocoa


1. Pour all ingredients into a shaker
2. Shake vigorously with ice and strain into cocktail glass
3. Garnish with lime wheel

Recipe Serves 4


– 4-6 oz. Beef Patties
– 4 slices of Gruyere Cheese
– 4 tablespoons Freshly Grated Horseradish
– Salt & pepper to taste


1. Season burgers liberally with salt and pepper
2. Place burger on grill and cook to the preferred doneness
3. Top with onions then cheese
4. Once cheese is melted place on toasted bun and top with fresh horseradish and serve

Knob Creek® Caramelized Onions

– 1 Yellow Onion Thinly Sliced
– 2 tablespoons Whole Unsalted Butter
– 4 oz. Knob Creek® Bourbon


1. In a 12 inch sauté pan heat 2 tablespoons butter until melted over medium heat
2. Add onions and a pinch of salt and slowly cook for 10-15 minutes until onions become golden
3. Turn up heat to medium high and add Knob Creek® Bourbon
4. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and set aside
