Set yourself apart from the crowd. Have something that is yours uniquely. Buy a shoe that’s part of a production line of just 100. That’s what Adidas is asking of one hundred members of the shoe-buying elite.
Last week, it rolled out a very exclusive line of sportswear in a partnership with Houston Rocket James Harden. The Crazy Boost Triple White is the first line of shoes in a partnership between Adidas and the bearded shooting guard. Each one has its number on the back, and runs $140.
It seems to have no less than three shades of white and is meant to buck against convention. Everything these days bills itself as going against convention, but the shoe is different from a lot of the others coming out these days. There are a lot of very loud sneaks coming out, plenty of hot pinks, plenty of dribs and drabs of color.
In terms of functionality, the Triple White contains boost cushioning to save the skin on a balla’s tootsies. Somehow, we think they’re going to sell out.
