LOS ANGELES, CA; Jane Owen PR has added model/actress Antoinette Kalaj to its roster of talent. Both stunningly beautiful and intelligent, Antoinette began modeling as a teen before starting college in the studies law and medicine. With a love of acting tugging at her heartstrings, Kalaj soon traded higher education in favor of pursuing her dreams of becoming an actress.

Antoinette’s role in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”, got her noticed by talent management company Innovative Artists and upon signing with them, she moved to L.A. in February 2012. The starlet quickly booked national commercials for M&M’s, Carl’s Jr., and Progressive. Her first acting role in Los Angeles was for the hit CW show, “Gossip Girl” and shortly after landed a role in Next you’ll see Kalaj in the highly anticipated film “Don Jon” with Joseph Gordon Levitt and “Riddick” starring Vin Diesel, both slated for release in Fall 2013. In 2014, Kalaj will play the lead alongside Billy Zane in the indie-film “Mining for Ruby“.

The actress on the rise is more than just an avid performer. In addition to a thriving acting career, Kalaj has an affinity for custom cars. As a previous owner of a custom body shop in Detroit, she spent countless hours modifying cars for players from the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Lions and other local celebrities. Some of her designs have been profiled in the esteemed DUB show. Kalaj is also both a skilled marksman and proficient in Krav Maga self-defense, which she mastered in seven months while training with Detroit SWAT team to prepare for a role. Antoinette Kalaj is equal parts beauty, brains and brawn –a combination that packs a punch in the next generation of the film industry!

Antoinette Kalaj was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, eldest of four children to Albanian immigrants. The dark haired beauty grew up with a rich appreciation for her heritage. At 11 years old, her dad’s construction business moved the family to Detroit, Michigan, where she first discovered her passion for performing.
