What happens when you get invited by NASCAR driver and Spirit Cup Series rookie of the year contender Chase Elliott, the driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet SS, and Kelley Blue Book (KBB) with Hendrick Motorsports to the Best Buy Awards during the NASCAR AAA Texas 500 race? We will spare you the suspense; you create a VIP experience unlike any other!
Over the course of a weekend, with the help of the KBB team, we had a chance to attend a NASCAR race in Dallas, TX; a ride-n-drive in three of the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award-winning cars, and were invited to experience why the 2017 Ford F-150 (Truck), the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe (Full-size SUV/Crossover), and the 2017 Honda Civic (Small Car) were all championed as the Best Buy Award winners.
Join Us On a Ride-N-Drive
To kick off a spectacular weekend, we were greeted by Cox Automotive with Kelley Blue Book at a welcome dinner, filled with top-name guests from around the country, who were equally excited to be engaging with some of the biggest names in racing, including top NASCAR driver Chase Elliott and vehicle contenders for the 2017 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards.
Our experience also afforded us an opportunity to experience the saying “everything’s bigger in Texas” as we cruised the streets of Fort Worth, Texas in the Ford F-150 and drove the Chevrolet Tahoe right to the door of AT&T Stadium aka Jerry’s World in Arlington, Texas; once we got behind the wheel, it was easy for us to understand why Kelley Blue Book awarded each of these cars best in their class.
We discovered that Kelley Blue Book exists to make consumers smarter about new cars; with a history of expert reviews, recommendations, new car pricing, and educating consumers. This is clearly an exciting partnership for motor-heads.
The Texas Motor Speedway Experience
On “Sunday Funday,” we spent much of the day on the track, living the life of a NASCAR driver; from tearing around the Texas Motor Speedway to hanging out trackside, it was amazing to see such an authentic roadside experience, learning about the two annual Sprint Cup races, and discovering for ourselves how KBB continue to support Chase Elliott and the No. 24 Kelley Blue Book car. We felt like one of the KKB and NASCAR team!
