Try to discard him as a one-hit wonder after watching “Enter the Dragon,” “Every Single Day,” and “Mainstream Impersonations.” The guy’s got skills, whether rhyming witty insults or rapid-fire lines. Seems like just a matter of time before the world knows his name.

Alyssa Marie has a voice like Da Brat, the demeanor of a queen, and a style of her own. She has a laid-back intensity and lyrics rooted in real emotions and experience. On her spoken word verse, “The Last Laugh,” she references being called the next Nikki Minaj, but that may be selling her short. Gimmickless and without any antics, Alyssa Marie’s appeal is strictly hip-hop at its purest.
