The Breitling Company have been making watches since its founding moment in 1884 and have become pioneers in the luxury watch market because of their diverse selection of high quality watches. With chronometer-certified movements, each watch is extremely precise and professionally made and they are a seriously badass watch company with famous wearers such as Bear Grylls, Bruce Willis, Gordon Ramsay and Steven Segal, but which three have made it onto men’s wrists the most according to The Watch Gallery?
1. Breitling ‘Superocean’
Breitling’s ‘Superocean’ 42mm watch came in at third place on the best-sellers list. The splash of yellow on the inside of the bezel most likely attracted attention to this diving watch and the great depth of its water resistance- 1500 metres! It also includes a safety valve to prevent the case from exploding due to internal overpressure and a diver’s rubber strap with pin and buckle. For the sparkle crazy, it also contains 25 jewels and the seconds hand is arrow-pointed and bright yellow to match the inner bezel.
2. Breitling ‘Chronomat’ Flying Fish
Named after the nickname of Herbert Nitsch, the only freediver to have reached 700 feet underwater, Breitling have yet another popular diving watch. It is powered by a Breitling in-house movement and has a 30-minute and 12 hour countdown and a tachymeter on the polished steel bezel on the exclusive Breitling steel case. The dial is all black with the red arrow-pointed second hand being accurate to 1/4th of a second. The crystal is also sapphire which is both scratchproof and glare-proof on both sides.
3. Breitling ‘Colt’ Chronograph II
The more professional looking out of the three, this watch no doubt can be used as both a sports watch and an everyday or work watch due to its satin-brushed stainless steel case and bracelet. It has many more functions compared to the other two bestselling watches including a fast action time zone change, a reinforced crown for added shock resistance and Breitling Superquartz making it 10 times more accurate than regular quartz movement. It is also water resistant up to 300 meters and, like the majority of Breitling watches has a tachymeter on the bezel.
