Having dry skin can be itchy, rough and unpleasant. More often than not, using all sorts of creams and lotions does not help at all. At most, creams and lotions provide temporary relief but having to apply them again and again can be troublesome. Natural remedies can go a long way towards providing relief from the roughness, flakiness, and itchiness of dry skin.

Aloe Vera Gel

When using aloe vera, it is best to use the natural plant gel and not the commercially available preparations whenever possible. The leaf or the plant is the source of the gel. You simply need to cut a portion of the leaf (crosswise) and scoop out a small amount of the gel. Apply the get on your face and skin and leave it on for 30 minutes if possible. You need not rinse it off as it is transparent and provides your skin with a protective layer from dust and other impurities. Aloe vera gel is also very effective in relieving sun burn.

Cucumber
