Until fairly recently, it was considered a little fruity for a man to shave anything other than his face unless he was an athlete. However, it seems that the whole idea has done a complete 180. Men are even getting Brazilian waxes now.
What is a Brazilian Wax?
What is a Brazilian wax you ask? Well, to put it politely, I’d explain it but it’s kind of private. If you know what I mean. Sound painful? It probably is. You men have pretty coarse hair compared to us females so it probably does hurt a little.
Apparently, you can also get little designs in your hair down there. I read that someone wanted “Campbell’s Soup” written in their hair. I guess his girl really loves Chicken and Stars. Well then.
As for my opinion on this new budding trend, I give it two very big thumbs up. Guys, girls won’t miss that stuff if you get rid of it. Trust me. It’s a huge nuisance. And it’s not very attractive either. If you surprise your girl with a Brazilian you will be thanked heartily. So maybe you should think about it.
What you need to know
If you are interested in a Brazilian, I do have a few things for you to keep in mind. First is the cost. It is going to be a little expensive and you’ll have to get the treatment every four to six weeks, just like any other wax treatment. One Brazilian will cost anywhere from $60-$100. Next is the pain. As I have mentioned before, it will be a little painful, but it’s nothing excruciating. The last thing to keep in mind is the anxiety factor. You may be worried about getting aroused during the appointment. This is completely normal. The specialist will be used to it, so there is nothing to be worried about.
I believe the Brazilian, or the Brozilian as I have seen it called, is the last stop on the men’s grooming train. And I love that train. For years women have had to primp and pluck and nip and tuck every last inch of their bodies while men have had the option to sit and watch football with potato chip crumbs stuck to their shirt. It’s time for a new era in men’s fashion and grooming. Now go make that appointment!
